Hi! Welcome to my website. My name is Sophia Jennings and I'm the Creative Executive of The Creative Studio, a production company founded by SB Projects and BBH.  I scout, secure and develop scripted projects for digital platforms as well as traditional buyers, working closely with both companies to package our shows with the top talent, insights, and brands. I also brainstorm ancillary products for all of our shows, whether that means apps, experiences, or social content. Most of the time, I'm writing show pitches and looking for our next idea.

Prior to The Creative Studio, I wanted to be a magazine editor. I spent my school holidays writing for NYLON, MTV, and DAZED before writing freelance for publications like Rolling Stone, The Coveteur, and Milk.xyz. I interviewed Bengali EDM stars, Swedish rappers and future Hollywood stars. At Wesleyan, I started a digital editorial brand. At Oxford I wrote for the fashion magazine and helped start a music channel. By the time I was a senior, I taught Wesleyan's "Practicum in Digital Journalism," a class on writing for the web.

I apply many of the lessons I learned in magazines to my work in TV. The best magazines build community, embrace global stories and take risks with their narrative form. The best shows should do the same. I want to bring locally authentic, international shows to digital platforms, introducing new voices and testing the limits of the "tv" format.

Born in San Francisco, I graduated from Wesleyan University after 10 years living in London. I now live and write out of Los Angeles.
